All of our dogs are named to be consistent with our Kennel Name and (of course) Momma Dog (Dory) was named after a type of boat. We always said that if we bred her twice, her second litter would carry boat names.
But what makes it particularly applicable in this case is that it would have been much easier to visit the stud dog if we went by boat! The map below shows the approximate home locations of the two dogs. "You can't get there from here!"
It's 2.5 hours by car but less than an hour by boat!
