Jurel is the puppy that we recently acquired from Blazin. Her pedigree brings together elements of several lines that we have been interested in for some time. Her name (pronounced hoo-rel') is the common name for jacks (a group of racey gamefish species) which occur in the mid-Atlantic area but are more common in southern waters. The species most commonly called jurel is a pretty fish also known as a blue runner (pictured below).  Jurel: blue runner We think that Jurel is going to be a lovely adition to our aging pack.... |
